Evaluation Question

1) Who did you work with and how did you manage the task between you?
I was put in a group with Charlotte Revell and Amara Blake. In order to complete all tasks we managed the tasks as follows, I was the main actor along with Amara whilst Charlotte filmed the shots. As well as this I was the main person that edited the music video whilst Amara and Charlotte blogged.

 2) How did you plan your sequence? What processes did you use?
to plan our music video we used a shooting schedule along with a costume/prop list in order to accurately resemble the music video.

3) What theories could you apply to the video you chose?
The theory that I could relate to my music video is Goodwin's theory, this is because of the performance side of the music video.

4) What technology did you use to complete the task, and how did you use it?
the technology I used was a standard video camera and a editing programme (adobe premier), we used this to film then upload and edit our music video.

5) What factors did you have to take into account when planning, shooting and editing?
the timing and availability of the technology and actors, the weather/lighting and time of day.

6) How successful was your music video copy? Please identify what worked well, and with hindsight, what would you improve/do differently? What did others say about your production?
There was varied success with the video, this was because the accuracy some of the shots were out of time slightly, however the sequencing of the video was successful.

7) What have you learnt from completing this task? Looking ahead, how will this learning be significant when completing your music video, do you think?
this learning curve has significantly taught me editing skills like transitions, sequencing, cutting, and contrasts.

8) How does it compare with filming an opening to a film?
This music video task compares to the film opening as this video includes many more cuts and effects like split screens across the whole video.

9) What are your strengths and weaknesses as a group member?
My strengths is that i am always up for taking up a different role and doing it as best as possible, however the area i am probably weaker at is editing in much detail, however

10) Looking at the other group's videos which do you think were most successful and why?
I feel that the most successful music video was Lorna, Sam and Charlotte's. The reason for this is because of the editing was accurate and very well done, as well as this the performance side of the video was also very accurate and actually looked like a music video.
